The effects of interactions between the genotype and environmental conditions are expressed in phenotype. Comparing performances genotypes under same range allows for relative measurements to be made different levels plasticity among those genotypes. objective this research was evaluate responses two wine grape cultivars, native Aglianico international Cabernet Sauvignon, pedoclimatic terms functional traits that govern grapevine bud fruitfulness, vegetative growth, yield development. study conducted over consecutive seasons (2020 2021), six commercial Vitis vinifera L. vineyards, located three distinct viticultural regions central-southern Italy (Molise, Campania, Sicily). In each experimental vineyard, number leaves, total leaf area per vine, midday vine water status, fruit were measured. obtained results showed fruitfulness higher than Sauvignon site, while variability plant vineyards lower cultivar compared Aglianico. genetic × predominantly during berry ripening stages, generally greater Sauvignon.
